About the Event

Significant development is underway on the Bryn Mawr Historic District and Broadway Corridor. The Edgewater Beach Neighborhood Association would like to help empower neighbors for meaningful contributions during development input windows. Therefore, we are hosting a community learning and discussion event.

Two local architects will share an independent study of the area, exploring the challenges facing transit hubs like Bryn Mawr and illustrating what successful, community-centered development can look like. The presentation will draw on examples from Chicago and other cities to highlight how density, historic preservation, public space, and quality of life can work together.

This is not a development proposal. A significant portion of the evening will be interactive. Attendees will be invited to share what experiences they value in their neighborhood, what they feel is missing, and what concerns or priorities they have as change continues along Broadway and near the Red Line.
